Kavulo for HR & People teams

The offboarding kit you hand every departing employee.

When people leave — layoffs, RIFs, mutual exits — they need to know what to do next. Kavulo gives each person a personalized Life Map on day one. Verified pointers. No generic PDF. Something they’ll actually open.

Not another outplacement contract. Not a 40-page benefits packet. A quiet, structured next-move kit — from you, to every person walking out the door.

Pilots start at 100 seats. Security review supported. Volume pricing for larger cohorts.

The outplacement problem

You’re already paying for outplacement. Nobody’s using it.

Kavulo displaces the outplacement line item with something departing employees actually open — a private Life Map, not a portal of generic content.

Expensive per seat

Locked-in seat contracts you can’t rightsize.

Traditional outplacement is priced for a cohort you couldn’t predict. You pay whether or not anyone logs in.

Low engagement

Departing employees don’t open the portal.

Utilization data most vendors won’t share. Kavulo shows verified action rate, not login counts.

Generic advice

One workshop, one webinar, one PDF for everyone.

Kavulo is personalized to each person’s situation on day one — not a coach queue and a content library.

What each employee gets

A personalized Life Map. Verified pointers. No PHI.

Three questions. Thirty seconds. Kavulo generates a private plan covering the first 72 hours, what may be available, documents to gather, programs to verify, deadlines, and a recommended next move.

  • First 72 Hours

Ordered, calm actions — not a wall of tasks.

  • What may be available

COBRA, marketplace, UI, severance windows, 401(k) rollover — never 'you qualify'.

  • Documents to gather

Separation letter, W-2, benefits summary, final pay stub.

  • Watch points

Signing windows, non-compete windows, insurance lapse.

Sample Life Map — Involuntary separation, WA

First 72 Hours

  • Request separation letter in writing
  • Note last day of health coverage
  • Back up personal files

What may be available

  • COBRA continuation
  • WA unemployment insurance
  • Severance negotiation window

Recommended next move

  • Review the severance agreement before signing — consider the 21/45-day window.

Illustrative. Every real Life Map is verification-first — Kavulo never claims eligibility.

No PHI stored

Kavulo organizes what to do next. It does not store diagnoses or medical records.

Security review supported

SSO, audit logging, and data residency conversations welcome during pilot.

Verification-first

Every pointer shows what to verify and where. No fabricated programs or eligibility.

Human-reviewed patterns

Offboarding playbooks reviewed by our team, not left to unattended model output.

What HR sees

Aggregate outcomes. Never individual data.

Admins see how the cohort is doing — not what any one person wrote. Employee Life Maps stay private to them at the database level.

Seat utilization

How much of the cohort accepted their invite.

Verified action rate

Share of tracked actions marked verified across the cohort.

Time to first action

Median hours from invite to first verified step (k-anonymized).

Event mix

Distribution of transition types across the cohort — aggregate only.

Pilot terms

100 seats. 90 days. Dedicated success contact.

We size the pilot to the cohort you’re preparing for — RIF, planned exits, or rolling separations. Volume pricing and larger deployments on request. Security review, SSO, and white-label conversations welcome.

  • Employee Life Maps are private at the database level. Admins only see cohort aggregates.
  • No PHI collected. HIPAA-safe by design.
  • Co-branded onramp and Life Map footer during the pilot.

FAQ

The questions HR always asks.

Is Kavulo outplacement?

No. Outplacement is coaches, workshops, and a content portal. Kavulo is a personalized Life Map per person — a structured next-move plan they can open on their phone during the hardest week of their year. Many teams run it alongside outplacement; most eventually swap it in.

Where does the data live?

Employee Life Maps are private to each person, enforced at the database level with row-level security. Admins only see aggregate cohort metrics — never individual entries, never employee names, never event types linked to a person.

What about PHI or HIPAA?

Kavulo does not collect or store PHI. It organizes what to do next — COBRA, marketplace continuation, benefit deadlines — without storing diagnoses or medical records.

Do you support SSO?

SSO is on the enterprise roadmap and we’re happy to prioritize it during a pilot conversation. Employees can access their Life Map with email or Google today.

Can we white-label it?

Yes — pilot orgs get co-branding on the employee onramp and Life Map footer (your name and logo, never Kavulo’s alone). Full white-label is available for larger deployments.

How do departing employees get it?

You add them via a simple invite tool. Paste emails, download a CSV of one-per-person invite URLs, and send through your existing offboarding email — no new inbox to manage.
